symbols above, Adam says: "While we were on the American Idol visit I was
circling studios attempting to assemble my collection, my first collection - my
head was turning. I worked with Nile Rodgers and Pharrell - those fellows,
they're genuises. I feel fortunate I got the chance to work with them. It was a
developing process also, as I was realizing what my sound was."

effective in this industry you need to have a side of you that is a businessman
and a side of you that is a craftsman. Also, on a business level, I was being
target - OK, I can perceive how this [the covers album] would be a decent
business suggestion. Yet, I was holding up to check whether my
"craftsman" would react to it.
"I was listening to the music and
it simply didn't reverberate - it didn't feel like what I ought to be doing - I
simply needed to believe my gut on that. What's more, it was somewhat
frightening saying as much, on the grounds that I was similar to, 'I figure that
implies I gotta go'.
